Fall Joint Mission – Food Drive

Blyth and Brussels United Churches will be joining together in a food drive for the next several weeks, collecting non-perishable food items and monetary donations. These donations will be going to the North Huron Community Food Share, which serves our communities and others to ensure that food equity is more of a reality in our area.

In particular, we will be collecting items that would be good for kids’ school lunches, although any and all donations are greatly appreciated.

This food drive will be running from Labour Day through Thanksgiving Day weekend. Donations can be dropped off at the following times:

Monday mornings between 9-12 at Brussels United (side entrance)

Wednesday mornings between 10-12 at Blyth United (Fellowship Time in the garden)

Thursday afternoons between 1-4 at Blyth United (office door entrance)

Sunday mornings at our worship services (9:30 at Brussels, 11:00 at Blyth)

For alternative drop-off times, or if you would like someone to pick up your donations, please contact Alex at minister.brusselsandblythuc@gmail.com, or leave a message at either church office.

Thank you in advance for your generosity and community spirit. And let us use this as but one way to engage the issue of food security in faithful and system-changing ways.
