Join us for worship on this Good Friday, led by Alex Jebson, under the musical direction of Marilyn Scott and Katie Dockstader.
This is a service of solemnity, of pain, of recognizing our limitations and our wrongs, and finding in the love of God a way through it all, through the One who suffered the worst of ourselves, held a mirror to a pain-filled world, and demonstrated Divine forgiveness and love.
Incorporated into this Good Friday service are elements of Maundy Thursday, including the stripping of the chancel, where all the decorations in the church are removed from the front to visually symbolize Christ’s death. You are also encouraged, at the end of this service, to observe a time of silence in the spirit of the Silent Vigil, a symbol of the watchmen’s time guarding the tomb.
