Second Sunday of Lent – February 28th, 2021

Join us for worship this Sunday, led by Alex Jebson, under the musical direction on Glenda Morrison. This service is adapted from an ancestry service offered by Rev. Debbie McMillan, as part of the United Church of Canada’s Black History Month resources. To find the original service and other worship materials, check out https://united-church.ca/worship-spec…

In honour of the culmination of Black History/Heritage Month, our Lenten focus today is on the relationship with our ancestry and history as communities. Called to address and transform that which strains our relationship with God and with our fellow siblings, we are asked to faithfully and openly name and respond to the structural sin of racism and prejudice. In God’s covenant with all nations, we are also called to seek out the histories of those in our communities who have not always had their story heard.
