Help Plan our Youth Ministry!

“I have no greater joy than this, to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” (3 John 1:4)

Calling all kids and grown-ups! Blyth and Brussels United Churches want to hear from you.

As routines start to stabilize and kids are getting more comfortable with the new ways of doing school, our congregations are discerning how best to provide meaningful faith formation that allows for the safety of all, while still encouraging community-building and, most importantly, fun!

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with some of the families in our congregations, hearing what their needs and hopes are for Christian education. However, we want to hear from even more families, to ensure that we can best support and celebrate our learning in the midst of these strange times.

We are exploring many options, including take-home activities, online chats, and while the weather is still nice, learning about God’s Creation in Creation itself. This fall, we can do nature hikes, Thanksgiving crafts, and online sing-a-longs. But we need to hear from you all how best to do this.

If you or anyone you know might want to be involved in youth ministry this fall, helping to put together packages or providing some crafts, please let me know! And grown-ups, be sure to let us know what your families’ schedules are like, so we can find the best times for weekly chats or activities.

Any and all questions, ideas, or concerns can be sent to myself; I can be most easily reached by email at minister.brusselsandblythuc@gmail.com, or text/call 705-344-3385.

Make sure your needs and ideas are heard! With a good response, we may have our first outdoor activity this weekend (potentially a nature hike to celebrate the Season of Creation, and to get to know/see one another again). Blessings to you all!

Yours in Christ,

Alex Jebson
